WHO WE ARE
Medical Virtual Assistants, launched in 2010, provides a full array of online administrative services, office assistant services, concierge services, electronic health records, data analytics, data entry and research services to health professionals in North America at a competitive price.

Our aim is to help organizations and professionals succeed by reducing their operating costs and improving the speed and quality of a wide range of tasks. The foundational stones of Medical Virtual Assistants are our Grant Writing, Medical Transcription, Manuscript Preparation, Market Research, Data Analysis and Evaluation services, supported by highly qualified, high achieving professionals in the medical industry.

All of our Virtual Assistants have training and/or experience in providing medical administrative services to organizations and professionals working in the healthcare field, giving them the specialized knowledge that healthcare professionals require. Our VAs are selected after a thorough screening process to ensure selection of only the most qualified professionals.


OUR TEAM
Daniel McKennitt, B.Sc. MD, CEO & Founder
Born and raised in Edmonton and a member of the Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation, Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Physical Sciences and Mathematics and received a “Special Training in Research Certificate” from the University of Alberta. He is a rising resident in Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Alberta, and formed the first Aboriginal Health Student Group at the University of Alberta. He sits on several committees and councils such as the Canadian Heritage, Canadian Red Cross, Alberta Advanced Education, and the Alberta Cancer Board. Under Daniel’s guidance, the project team brings a broad range of skills and knowledge, including, project management, research, writing, data collection and analysis, and extensive networking and communications skills.

Mr. William (Bill) McKennitt, Director of Business Development
Mr. McKennitt comes to Medical Virtual Assistance with over 40 years of experience in the sales field. First obtaining a dipolma in Commercial and Industrial Sales from Red River College, Mr. McKennitt began working at General Foods in 1970 as a sales representative. He rose to become Account Manager for the IGA chain of stores (Sobey's) when General Foods was bought out by Kraft in the early 1990s boosting sales to over $45mm. He then moved onto to Autotrans Inc., where he directed distributor sales around the world. Although now retired, he continues to do consulting work for various companies such as PATS, Shoals Solenoids and Medical Virtual Assistants.

Neha Gupta, B.Tech. MS(ECE), Director of Business Operations
Born and brought up in New Delhi, India, Neha earned her Bachelor in Technology with Honors from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. Soon after her graduation, she joined a multi-national company TATA Consultancy Services. Having worked for a few years at TCS, she went for her Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, US. She also received several Indian and international scholaships for higher education abroad. Later  she also worked with Cisco Systems, Inc. in California, US as Business Development Manager. Currently, she is consulting in business/partnerships and managing several divisions within Medical Virtual Assistants.

Darcy Diachinsky, Legal Advisor
Darcy’s experience includes advocacy and legislative and research activities. He has extensive experience with First Nations Chiefs such as organizing the leadership nomination of current National Chief Shawn Atleo in the province of Saskatchewan. He’s worked directly with Senate of Canada, the Métis National Council-Ottawa, and the University of Saskatchewan-Saskatoon College of Medicine. His affiliations include leadership positions in the Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Saskatchewan. Darcy’s specific experience includes research and analysis, writing and editing, fluency in English & French and database administration.

Sowmya Rajamani, BBM, Administrative Assistant
Sowmya has earned her Bachelor of Banking Management from Madras University, Chennai. She has 6 years of experience working in the administrative cadre in offices in Chennai. She has also done several projects in transcription, data entry, article submission, link building, and typing projects across many online workplaces. Currently, she is working full-time as Administrative Assistant for MVA.
